Our Aberdeen springs from a standing-room-only community meeting at The Popcorn Factory
in downtown Aberdeen on November 14th, 2009 when 80 concerned citizens came together to discuss realistic and sustainable
ways to improve the town we love.
This was the beginning of a widespread grassroots movement where our citizens decided to take on the responsibility of creating
a united front for positive change in our community.

The Aberdeen Merchant & Business Art Tour was developed by our Arts Promotion Action Committee.
Paint the Corridor is a terrific project that Grays Harbor 2020 took on when approached by
Hoquiam attorney Paul Stritmatter.
Although the initial idea was to spruce up the town for tourists, painting 26 owner-occupied homes quickly turned into
a celebration of volunteerism and hometown pride.
